Evolved Body Art

David Kelso began his piercing career at Piercology in 1997, apprenticing under Patrick McCarthy. After a year of apprenticeship, Dave became a piercer and obtained membership in the Association of Professional Piercers (APP), of which he remains a member to this day.

In 2002, Dave joined the Evolved team where he worked as a piercer for approximately one year before opening his own studio: Modified Soul. After the closing of Modified Soul, Dave returned to Piercology to apprentice and help rebuild their clientele from 2011 until 2016, when he joined the Mainstreet Studios II team in Mansfield, assisting its owner, Ashley. Now, after many years away, Dave has returned to Evolved.

Dave has been a member of APP for almost twenty years. In 2011, he received the Josh A. Prentice Volunteer Appreciation Award. He is also a founding Board Member of the ABAP.

In addition to piercing, Dave enjoys bike riding and photography. On his days off you can generally find him driving a Pedicab around Columbus or taking photos in Hocking Hills.
